Using Node.js on the Raspberry Pi to Play with RVR
Some enthusiasts prefer to jump into new projects with Node.js because of its facilitation of working with multitudes of other tools. If you know what you are doing with Node, like with many other js libraries, the world is your oyster!
Choose your OS below and follow the installation instructions to make sure you are set up for success!
If you are installing Node, we recommend you also install npm in order to make it infinitely easier to install all the packages you'll need throughout your journey. This Treehouse Installation Guide does a good job explaining the advantages of both Node and npm (as well as helping you install them).
Since we'll be using the Raspberry Pi to interface with the RVR, we'll also need the proper version of Node.js installed within Raspbian on your Raspberry Pi. Some simple steps to download and install it can be found here.
